About CastSeal^™
CastSeal^™ is a uniquely formulated, 2 part, VOC free Brush-On-Sealant^™.  The very low viscosity ( 3-5 mPa-s 8-10 cps at 25° C) provides excellent wetting, and enables CastSeal^™ to wick (through capillary action) into pores, welds, and seams and between close-fitting metal surfaces. Mixing the sealant’s two components creates a VOC-free liquid that can be easily applied by brush.

Ideal Parts
CastSeal^™ is design specifically to work with aluminum, iron and steel castings, brazings and other ferrous parts.

Curing
Its room temperature cure mechanism is designed to cure within 24 hours for operational use.

Once cured, CastSeal^™ withstands continuous service temperatures of up to 180° C (355° F) and resists a broad range of chemicals, including oils, glycol, chlorinated and fluorinated solvents, mild caustics, acid solutions, and water. Typical cured hardness is 78 Shore D (ASTM D2240).

Shelf Life
CastSeal^™ has a shelf life of 12 months.

Pot Life
Once mixed, CastSeal^™ has a pot life of 24-48 hours (longer if refrigerated), allowing multiple parts to be treated from the same kit.
