Godfrey & Wing Impregnation Sealant Receives NSF Certification

2 Minute Read

Godfrey & Wing’s thermal-cure impregnation sealant, 95-1000AA, recently earned the NSF/ANSI 61 certification which means it meets the regulatory requirements for the United States and Canada and possibly other countries. This certification provides GW customers with the assurance that 95-1000AA is safe for use in drinking water. GW’s other thermal-cure sealant, 95-1000A, is also certified.

NSF/ANSI 61 testing covers all products that come into contact with drinking water from the source to the tap, and determines what contaminants may migrate or leach from a product into drinking water. It also confirms if these contaminants are below the maximum levels allowed to be considered safe. Developed by a team of scientists, industry experts and key industry stakeholders, NSF/ANSI 61 sets health effects criteria for many water system components.
