Job Summary: 
Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing customer shipments and prepares the item for actual shipment. This includes receiving, traveler initiation and verification, packaging, arrangement of shipping transportation, material handling (loading/unloading of trucks) and QA hold determination.

Location:
Aurora, OH

Safety Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor and confirm Fork truck equipment safety
  • Ensure daily check list is complete
  • Demonstrate good housekeeping (5S)

Quality Assurance Responsibilities

  • Communicate expectations clearly from the customer requirements
  • Ensure required documentation is done correctly and on-time
  • Identify discrepancies/damages on incoming and outgoing shipments and bring to attention

Essential Functions

  • Operate fork truck
  • Load / unload trucks
  • Organize transportation methods per customer requests
  • Support All departments to achieve company goals
  • Prepares orders for shipment to include outgoing paperwork and required labels.
  • Create travelers.
  • Utilizing Fork truck or pump cart physically move product to the appropriate area.
  • Verify all production travelers meet specification when being transferred from production to shipping.
  • Provides tracking information and maintains required records for interested parties when shipping.
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials
  • Uses Computer to input, access and retrieve data
  • Maintain acceptable attendance
  • Demonstrates outstanding customer service at all times
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Education:
High school Diploma, GED equivalency or equivalent work experience

Experience:
2 – 4 years’ experience in shipping/receiving preferred

Skills/Knowledge:
Computer skills – ERP systems, Tow motor experience, ability to comprehend instruction, excellent attention to detail. Basic reading and math skills. Outstanding customer service

Working Conditions:
Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands:
Ability to lift 50 lbs. Work in hot environments (summer months will be hot and humid)
