2 Minute Read

Godfrey & Wing is presenting at the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF) 's Powder Metallurgy Machinability Seminar. This year's seminar will be held virtually from April 19-22. The event will feature technical sessions from industry and academic experts that will educate attendees on machining powder metal.

The Powder Metal Machinability Seminar is returning for the first time since 2017. This seminar has over 14 hours of sessions ranging from advances in tooling techniques, powder additives, and the impact of powder metal on machining.

Godfrey & Wing's Johnny Halladay will discuss why vacuum impregnation is used to seal powder metal porosity. He will discuss how porosity affects powder metal, when to perform vacuum impregnation, and how impregnation improves powder metal machining.

"This year's virtual seminar allows attendees to learn about vacuum impregnation at their own pace." Said Johnny Halladay, Key Account Manager. "We will share our insights and real-world examples to help attendees learn how vacuum impregnation improves part quality, reduce costs, and increase profitability."
