Godfrey & Wing has opened a new vacuum impregnation service facility in Santa Catarina, Nuevo León, Mexico. This expansion will provide vacuum impregnation services to new and existing automotive OEM and Tier 1 customers in the Mexican market. The new service center replaces the previous facility in Santa Catarina and has increased output by 50%.
This expansion resulted from the high adoption rate of Godfrey & Wing's patented vacuum impregnation technology. Godfrey & Wing's single-flow technology and Dry Vacuum and Pressure (DVP) process fulfills a need that was missing in the Mexican market. The use of single-flow technology eliminates handling damage and contamination, while the DVP process seals leak paths to the first time through (FTT) rate of over 99%.
The center will also play a key role in helping potential customers understand the effectiveness of Godfrey & Wing technology. By offering an opportunity to process sample castings, customers can more objectively evaluate Godfrey & Wing's process results.
