Godfrey & Wing Impregnants Approved to Military Standard

Godfrey & Wing recently received qualification under military standard MIL-I-17563C Class 1 and Class 3 “Impregnants for Cast or Powder Metal Components” for three sealants they developed, designed and engineered using the latest monomer technology.

The United States military specifications and standards are used to help ensure that products and processes meet stringent requirements. This specification covers the requirements for impregnants suitable for use in sealing the voids found in cast or powder metal components which cause leaking of contained fluids or gases.

This qualification allows Godfrey & Wing’s sealants to be used by any government-related defense entity as well as other non-defense government organizations, technical and industry organizations.

With over 60 years of experience, Godfrey & Wing is recognized as the global leader in vacuum impregnation science and technology. Godfrey & Wing’s extensive process knowledge has driven breakthroughs such as the Continuous Flow Impregnation and Water Recovery and Reuse systems. Both have enabled companies to increase their yield of pressure tight components while significantly lowering their operating costs.  Godfrey & Wing provides sealants, equipment and services worldwide to the aerospace and automotive industries, as well as foundries, forges, die casters, and other major manufacturers.
