Works in the assembly, troubleshooting, repair, installation, commissioning and general servicing/maintenance of industrial equipment. Completes field and in house repairs and manages time effectively to ensure that time billed is appropriate. Works together with engineering and other departments to ensure efficient work output. Represents Godfrey & Wing professionally at all times providing both internal and external customer satisfaction.
Performs standard mechanical/pneumatic work on building vacuum impregnation systems and related equipment.
Reviews related manuals, blueprints and schematic diagrams to determine tasks to be performed and tools, equipment and parts needed.
Supports Godfrey & Wing manufacturing operations as required.
Works collaboratively with engineering and other departments.
Follows all safety rules and utilizes all company issued safety equipment designated for use in connection with this job.
Must provide own tools – generic metric mechanics tool set
Performs other related duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED. Certification from college or technical school preferred.
Tool build experience for special/custom equipment and machinery. 1+ years related electro-mechanical industrial maintenance. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (especially Word and Excel).
Must be able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment. Basic welding skills a plus. Clean driving record required.
Repeated standing/walking throughout plant floor most of the day. In the summer months, work environment can be hot and humid.
Intermittent lifting up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to travel at least 5% of the time. Must be eligible to obtain a US Passport (if one is not currently issued)
