Works independently, exercising initiative and independent judgment in the construction, troubleshooting, repair, installation, commissioning and general servicing/maintenance of electro/mechanical equipment. Completes field and in-house assignments and manages time effectively to ensure that time billed is appropriate and profitable. Represent Godfrey and Wing professionally at all times providing both internal and external customer satisfaction.
Layout, Assembly and Wiring of industrial panels (Main, Operator Consoles and Junction) per electrical schematics
Layout back panels, drill mounting holes, mount components, wire, identify/label per electrical schematics
Layout Operator Consoles, drill/punch/saw, mount components, wire, identify/label per electrical schematics
Manufacture electrical cable assemblies per electrical schematics
Field wiring of all external components and sub panels to main panel
Monitor, receive/check-in, inventory electrical to insurance all components ready for installation and assembly per project schedule
Validate electrical connections per electrical schematics
Troubleshoot and correct wiring errors
Troubleshoot and correct malfunction
Mark-up prints as required identifying any deviation from electrical schematics
Supports project electrical engineer during equipment start-up
Adheres to safety guidelines including LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) protocol
Performs other related duties as assigned
High school diploma or GED. Certification from college or technical school preferred.
Tool build experience for special/custom equipment and machinery. 1+ years related electro-mechanical industrial maintenance. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (especially Word and Excel)
Must be able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Basic welding skills a plus. Clean driving record required.
Repeated standing/walking throughout plant floor most of the day.
In the summer months, work environment can be hot and humid.
Intermittent lifting up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to travel at least 5% of the time. Must be eligible to obtain a US Passport (if one is not currently issued.
