Whether due to capital availability, floorspace constraints or the desire to maintain a core competency, many customers will ship components for impregnation to a qualified process center. Godfrey & Wing is proud to be associated with the most extensive network of service centers in North America and the most rapidly growing network in the world.
These centers, which are independently owned and operated, have made the choice to use GW sealant and/or equipment technology to fulfill the impregnation requirements of their customers, tens of thousands of unique customers all over the world. They rely on GW to supply technical expertise with process, sealant and equipment so that their customers receive sealed, compliant parts everyday.
Also GW operates a factory owned process center in Aurora Ohio and dedicated OEM satellite facilities to fulfill singular program requirements. Our satellite facilities may be installed on the OEM floor and utilize GW’s patented Continuous Flow Impregnation technology and are operated by GW technicians. In some cases these facilities are co-located near the OEM. GW has operated these installations in New York, Michigan and Ohio.
Most Godfrey & Wing Process Centers use the Dry Vacuum & Pressure process, the most robust process in vacuum impregnation, to consistently deliver superior results regardless of material, porosity type or machining content.
