Impregnation Equipment

Godfrey & Wing’s highly experienced engineering staff designs and builds the best equipment for any impregnation requirement. Our team of skilled engineers can design a system and process that fits any production schedule, part specification, or floor-space constraint.

Our team offers both CFi as well as batch processing equipment in a variety of configurations to meet your needs. The “most talked about and admired in the market place” impregnation system is the CFi (Continuous Flow impregnation) which is a fully automated robotic system. This system is designed around the concept of one-piece-flow. CFi technology was developed from complaints and improvement ideas from our customers. Those complaints range from damaged machined surfaces, to lack of process repeatability, to contamination, to floor space constraints, to the need for single piece flow equipment that could be integrated into cellular manufacturing. Single piece flow was very important because for years many production systems have been built around that concept with the exception of impregnation. Typically the customer had to develop a break into the production flow to take the parts off-line, transport to the impregnation system, impregnate the parts and then transport the parts back and finally place the parts in-line with the production flow. The CFi has eliminated all these elements that engineers did not like about impregnation.

CFi is taking the industry by surprise and has obtained rave reviews with its simplicity, durability, and process that is 100% repeatable. The CFi is backed with many hours of successful production of sealed parts. CFi technology has casting, machining and automotive engineers rethinking impregnation today as a vital step in increasing value.

Godfrey & Wing can deliver more typical impregnation “batch” systems too. The batch system is designed to impregnate many parts at the same time. Godfrey & Wing’s winning team of engineers can design a batch impregnation system that will fit any production environment. The batch system has been around for more than 50 years, however, with today’s electronics and computerization batch machines can be automated to any level the customer desires.
